buoy, the award-winning plastic upcycle company based in Yokohama that has been transforming discarded marine plastic waste into beautiful new products.

Since its debut in 2019, buoy with its proprietary plastic upcycle manufacturing processes has won numerous social and environmental awards and its upcycled products been sold by the MoMA Design Stores and select LOFT stores in Japan.

buoy’s mission aims to inspire beach clean-up activities, and that eventually buoy will no longer be able to make their products because they will no longer be able to pick up plastic wastes from the ocean.

The beautiful colors and unique patterns of buoy have fascinated people and captured attention from designers in Asia and Europe. It has become buoy’s responsibility as a plastic manufacturer to convey the current state of the ocean, and return once-discarded plastic to society through beautiful products that will be loved again by people.
